PROBLEM STATEMENT

Some users don't have any form of personal financial plan in place and utilize bank applications primarily for financial transactions. Also, the inability to save instantly without using other platforms outside their bank app is a serious challenge for the users.

GOAL OF THE PROJECT

The goal of this project is to provide a saving feature for the bank app that will enable users to save money faster and allocate it in accordance with their needs. We set out to remedy this by implementing a savings tool, which would help users manage their personal finances seamlessly.

DESIGN PROCESS

The following design methods were applied in this project;

  1. Empathy( User research)
  2. Define
  3. Ideate
  4. Prototype
  5. Test

Empathy

User requests currently take precedence. We used user research as the method to foster empathy. We employed this strategy to carry out both qualitative and quantitative research. We came up with a questionnaire that had 12 questions overall. Users of banking applications from a variety of age groups took part in the research, and the majority of their complaints focused on the fact that the majority of banking apps don't have a saving feature.

Define

In this stage, we filtered the data and set the context of the project then defined the problem and chose which problem to solve. Then we were able to focus on the issue, which was the "no savings" feature, thanks to user research.

NEW FEATURED ADDED

The "savings" feature is brand new. It offers our users the option of saving money to reach their financial objectives either through fixed savings which is locked for a set period of time and interest rate) or flexible savings which is available for withdrawal at any given time.
